Where you fit in

 

You will be part of a global team, with Back Office & Liquidity colleagues in Gothenburg, Greensboro and Singapore. The team works closely with all other departments within the Treasury organization, Volvo Group companies, banks, and other stakeholders. 

 

Back Office & Liquidity plays a vital role in the Treasury deal administration. You will be part of the transaction flow where we perform controls to make sure our deals are correct and matched and execute payments and manage the Volvo Group internal netting activity. We get involved in execution of tricky payments that can derive from e.g. M&A or dividends from markets with non-convertible currencies, and the practical management of the group’s shareholder dividends. Our responsibilities within liquidity management include consolidation of the Volvo Group’s daily liquidly, managing our cash pools and follow up on the Volvo Group’s liquidity forecast performance and drive the change with all stakeholders to improve the forecast quality (where data understanding is essential). We collaborate in the set up of the Group’s payment policy. We drive and participate in projects to optimize our operations, including payment processes, reconciliation activities, bank infrastructure and data transformation initiatives.

Who you are

 

You are a committed and positive team player with energy and a collaborative attitude. You have experience from Treasury or finance and have worked with payments in similar positions. You can work towards daily deadlines, as well as longer-term deliverables. You have a strong personal drive with a growth mindset and high level of integrity. You have a genuine interest in business analytics and digital tools and never hesitate to try new things. You see problems as opportunities to learn. You dream big and you get things done.

To be successful in this role we believe you to possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • University Degree 
  • Min 5-10 years’ experience from similar positions 
  • Interest and good understanding of financial instruments and markets. 
  • Strong knowledge of payments ecosystems, including but not exclusively covering issues such as payment methods, payment infrastructure and its best practices and fraud preventing measures. 
  • Established network with relevant stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, financing companies, treasuries.
  • Proven team player with ability to work across seniority levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative and fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills
  • IT literate with an aptitude and curiosity for systems, data and processes. 
  • Good communication and networking skills.
  • Fluent, verbal as well as written, in English and Swedish. 
  • Experience of Treasury Systems/ERP systems. Wall Street Suite (WSS), OmniFi, Finastra, CLS, TIS Cash forecasting, SAP and similar is meriting. 

 

Location: The position is based in Gothenburg – Lindholmen M2
