This position is within the Global Bus Technology (R&D) organization, specifically in the Customer Quality Experience (CQE) function, where we develop new products and support our global customers.
About the role
To strengthen our Technical Service team, we are now dividing it into two specialized groups: Technical Service Driveline and Technical Service Chassis. As Manager Technical Service Chassis, you will lead a team of seven Product Specialists with expertise in chassis electrical systems, software and hardware, active safety, connectivity, HVAC, axles, brakes, and air systems. You will be a key member of the Customer Quality Experience (CQE) management team, reporting directly to the Vice President CQE.
As manager you will hold a key role having the responsibility to lead and develop a team of Product Specialists. Your responsibility will be to give technical service support on chassis & services related issues to our Market Companies/ Importers and dealers. Ensure your organization to escalate potential safety, security and quality issues to our solve quality issue processes. Together with your peer at Technical Service Driveline secure and develop common way of working. You play a key role in developing the organization and the people to support future challenges contributing to Volvo Buses reaching its target image. With a continuous improvement mindset, you find new ways to improve our technical service process and our products to exceed our customers’ expectations together with your team.
This role is highly impactful, playing a crucial part in developing both the organization and its people to meet future challenges and contribute to Volvo Buses long-term goals.
Who you are
You are an experienced leader with passion to develop people and new way of working to improve competitiveness. You have great skills to lead your organization towards a target image. Together with your organization and peers, will deliver great performance over time. You have experience from product development and service market. You have shown innovative and strategic ability to utilize innovative technology to improve process and technology. You have a degree in engineering and are fluent in English.
