Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
Introduction
To be able to release stable and secure software with high quality, testing is core. But testing has its limitations and the (wo)manpower is one of the bottlenecks. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in artificial intelligence and software testing to create test cases based on requirements. You will train your own model and investigate our opportunities with AI within SW development for the HMI (Human Machine Interface) at Volvo Buses.
About the project
In this master thesis you will use the power of AI to gather specific information and use this as input to generate tests that should be run in a simulated environment in combination with a real ECU. The gathered information should be considered as company restricted and Intellectual property sensitive and caution needs to be taken to how the internal information is handled.
Our vision is to be able to feed our AI module with requirements fetched from our requirement database in combination with signal databases and our test framework. From this input it should automatically generate testcases to run in our simulation environment with our ECU as device under test.
The thesis will include discussion of what is possible to achieve and what limitations we have. An investigation of what resources are needed to perform testcase generation should be included.
