Thesis Description
Battery verification is a critical process to ensure the performance and reliability of modern energy storage systems. As batteries' components and systems play a bigger role in areas like electric vehicles, renewable energy integration, and consumer electronics, the complexity of their verification increases. One aspect of such challenges resides in the large amount of data to process and extract important information from.
In fact, despite the large volume of data, insights from battery tests and performance are still limited. In this master thesis, the goal is to investigate the possibility to further enhance battery testing methodology with more efficient approaches that can help capture more details to understand better and more accurate battery behavior.
The student(s) joining volvo in this master thesis will work in close collaboration with test and data engineers. At the end of the internship, the student(s) will gain a practical knowledge around the fundamentals of battery testing but also gain knowledge of state-of-the art methodology.
