Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program

If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Operations and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!   
 
During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. 


You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Our Master Data team ensures that master data needed for customs clearance, trade compliance and export control are compliant, quality assured and readily available when needed in our processes and by our stakeholders. We develop digital tools to support businesses to find trade opportunities, and we actively support trade optimization. We are experts in our field and with great teamwork we build the foundation for customs and trade within Volvo Group

Main activities and responsibilities:

The Global Trade platform is continuously evolving, making it important for us at the Volvo Group to monitor and proactively act on changes.  It is key to work closely with all our stakeholders to secure a harmonized way of working. Areas like new tariffs electrical vehicles as well as free trade is high on the agenda, and we are here to support with finding optimized trade solutions. 

Who are you?

To enjoy working here we believe you have a genuine interest in trade. You are not afraid of large data sets and while the work is holistic and tactical providing trade guidance to key stakeholders, you can dive into details to explain complex challenges using data. Additionally, you have excellent communication and networking skills, especially in technical English. We also see that you have a team-oriented approach and supportive leadership skills.

Required knowledge/experience:

  • BSc or MSc within Data Science or related fields
  • Knowledge and/or interest within trade
  • Experience within free trade, HS classification, export controls are all meriting
  • SQL, Azure, Python and other automation technologies are all meriting
  • Maximum two years of previous full-time working experience, prior to or after graduation. Work during studies are not included.
  • In this truly global program, communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
