Göteborg, SE, 417 15
Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
Would you like to be part of shaping the future of sustainable transport and infrastructure? Are you a passionate engineer who loves to drive the development of new ways of working and to collaborate with cross-functional partners, customers and colleagues around the world?
If you are curious, collaborative and motivated by real impact, this is your opportunity to join an ambitious, quality‑focused team where you will help create future solutions for our customers while contributing to a sustainable work environment built on trust, openness, continuous development and wellbeing.
This is us, your new colleagues:
Volvo Autonomous Solutions (VAS) is a business area within Volvo Group. We accelerate the development, commercialization, and sales of autonomous transport solutions.
By combining strong technology expertise with skilled customer solutions, we create innovative transport offers never seen before. We constantly push our own skills and challenge the traditional industry to meet growing customer demand.
The purpose of this role is to lead and coach the line organization in developing, evaluating, and improving ways of working.
Our team is built on teamwork and engagement, having fun together and supporting each other in our daily work. We are responsible for ensuring that our products meet defined quality standards throughout their lifecycle.
Our primary goal is to embed quality into every phase of development—from requirements and design to testing and release. We achieve this by driving cross-functional alignment, establishing quality metrics, and enabling continuous improvement.
In our team, we value the strength that comes from differences in background, knowledge, age, gender, and nationality.
We are now looking for a Process and Management System Leader to strengthen our team.
This is what you will do
You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the entire Volvo Autonomous Solutions organization, as well as with relevant stakeholders in other parts of the Volvo Group.
We are looking for a hands-on, creative, and proactive professional—someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. Your ability to take initiative and contribute to building and improving our organization will be key to your success in this role.
Your work will span the entire process lifecycle—from defining the business process strategy and roadmap at a strategic level to leading working groups that analyze, define, develop, document, and continuously improve business processes.
An important part of your role is to prioritize competing needs, seek interface agreements with related business processes, prepare decision material, and lead the work with decision forums and business process working groups.
In addition, you will be responsible for continuously developing and maintaining our management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, securing alignment with V.A.S. strategy and objectives, and ensuring adherence to Volvo Group’s guiding policies and directives.
Who are you? Are we a perfect match?
We believe you are a person with great people skills—someone who enjoys developing teams and yourself, as well as interacting with different stakeholders. You have a positive mindset and a can-do attitude, combined with a holistic perspective and strong communication skills.
An important part of this position is to establish and maintain close collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including executive management. This requires understanding diverse stakeholders’ needs—both expressed and unexpressed—and cooperating within and across teams with conflicting priorities and different goals to create value.
As a person, you are a solution-oriented team player who can put the interests of others above your own. You are ready to do what is needed to make the team and the organization more efficient. You learn quickly and have strong analytical skills, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
You will cover a wide span of processes—from very detailed work in a specific technology area to processes involving other Business Areas within the Volvo Group. This requires the ability to understand new contexts, products, and solutions quickly and efficiently, while prioritizing with a structured approach.
You are also open to working in a completely new context where we, together, are the motivators driving the future of automated transport solutions. As our business area is still evolving, you need to share our positive spirit and curiosity for new technology—and have the ambition to take it to the next level.
Other important qualifications for the position:
- Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience from managing large projects or end to end processes with limited oversight from manager
- Experience in business process development methodologies and tools
- Experience from coaching individuals and teams
- Experience from work with Quality Management (ISO 9001)
- Experience of performing internal audits
- Experience in developing and maintaining a management system
- Experience from end-to-end automotive value chain
- Knowledge and experience in Change Management
- Fluency in spoken and written English
