Volvo Group Digital and IT – Infrastructure and OnSite Services is a global unit consisting of approximately 700 employees and consultants in most of the Volvo Group’s locations. Our mission is to ensure that we provide Volvo with the right End-User tools and services at agreed quality and to an optimal cost.

 

Business Infrastructure Management (BIM) 

Business Infrastructure Management is a global department in charge of IT Infrastructure & end user services for all TD/BAs, which encompasses:

  • All "end-user IT workplace" services (IT equipment, End user clients, Telephony, IT helpdesk, Desktop applications, collaboration workplace in MS Office 365, e.g. TEAMS and SharePoint).
  • As well as common and shared IT services such as Network (Wired ethernet network, WiFi, and other specialized connect services), Printing and Identity management services (User Accounts).

Position Description

In this position, you will have a key role in the BIM department and for the BIM function (for the BIMs not belonging to the BIM Department itself).

You are making sure that processes are optimized and followed with quality for “on-the -shelf” services ordering and for the development or enhancement of IT infrastructure Services (ND-EN).

You are responsible to set the budget frame for roll out of existing services on behalf of all our TD/BA (Truck divisions and Business Areas). You are responsible to follow, review this budget and address any deviation.

You are the key person to drive transversal initiatives for the BIM function, drive continuous improvement, derive the communication within and outside of the BIM department and manage the training path for BIMs.

You will have also a role of a Business Infrastructure Manager on a limited scope.

Key Responsibilities

•    Ensure One Time ordering process compatibility with BIM requirements 
•    Ensure coherence and completeness of Service Catalog (forms, ...)
•    Manage and follow up ISR quality from BIM
•    Contribute to Transition and Transformation initiatives
•    Drive Continuous improvement
•    Drive and follow transversal BIM initiatives
•    Ensure BIM participation in ND-EN service development process, Preparation for ND-EN Tactical meetings, follow up on ND-EN projects 
•    Manage BIM projects portfolio (administration(Planview), portfolio health follow up, escalations,...), Key user in Planview. 
•    Manage BIM extended department finance process (budget cycle, forecasts (Planview) and invoicing follow up and corrections)
•    Ensure communication within the BIM community and Outside BIM Community 
•    Manage training path for BIMs
•    Business Infrastructure Manager role for a limited scope


Authority
•    Challenge Budget requests from Lead BIMs
•    Influence One Time ordering process for IT Infrastructure Service (End User and Shared Infrastructure)
•    Drive quality for the BIM function
•    Define and follow KPIs for the BIM Department

Wanted Profile

As a Process and Projects Portfolio Manager, you will create an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation. You have proven experience as a leader and excel in behaving according to the Volvo Group values. Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. 
You are also expected to have a strong business mindset and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy. A broad knowledge of End User and Shared IT Infrastructure, and Volvo Financial process and tools are a strong merit.

 

Required Competencies
•    Relevant degree
•    Strong experience in IT infrastructure 
•    IT services and infrastructure knowledge, with at least an “advanced user” level in one or several of the Volvo Group Digital and IT service catalog
•    Business oriented, ability to manage interactions with business stakeholders
•    Excellent prioritization skills and ability to eliminate roadblocks
•    Pro-efficience in Finance processes
•    Able to learn of the fly when facing new problems
•    Leadership experience (functional or line manager)
•    Excellent communication & presentation skills
•    Complete proficiency in English
