We are looking for Product Manager & Feature Specialist for Quarry & Mining to help bridge business needs and technical excellence, creating products that redefine safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the industry.

What You’ll Do

At Volvo Autonomous Solutions, you’ll be part of a bold transformation — reshaping our company, the transport industry, and society at large. In the role of Product Manager & Feature Specialist for Quarry & Mining, you’ll lead the development and delivery of autonomous transport solutions designed for some of the most demanding environments on earth.

Your work will span strategy and execution. You’ll define and drive the product roadmap for autonomous transport services in quarry and mining applications, guiding each stage from initial release to phase-out. You’ll translate business needs into technical solutions, developing use cases and stakeholder requirements that ensure our products meet customer expectations, safety standards, and operational efficiency goals.

Collaboration will be at the heart of what you do. You’ll lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions — from autonomous trucks to digital platforms and operational support. Acting as the technical authority for key features, you’ll oversee design, architecture, and implementation, while engaging directly with customers to understand their challenges and uncover opportunities for innovation.

To stay ahead, you’ll monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings, ensuring our products remain competitive and compliant with safety and environmental standards. You’ll also prepare business cases, technical documentation, and presentations for stakeholders, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting sales and customer success teams with your expertise.

In short, you’ll be the bridge between vision and reality — shaping solutions that redefine productivity, safety, and sustainability in quarry and mining operations.

Essential Skills: 

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mining Technology, or related field. 

• 8+ years of experience in product management and/or feature engineering, with at least 3 years in quarry, mining, or heavy industrial environments. 

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills -you build trust and alignment across teams and functions. 

• Experience with agile development and product management and requirement tools. 

• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on technical expertise. 

• A start-up mindset - comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in solving challenges, and always ready to roll up your sleeves. 

• A high level of personal drive and accountability. We are in a critical phase where the right action, at the right time, makes the difference between success and failure. • An open mindset, curiosity, and the motivation to thrive in a fast-evolving technology environment. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Direct experience working in or with quarry and mining operations. 

• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards specific to Q&M environments. 

• Understanding of autonomous vehicle technologies. 

• Familiarity with digital platforms for fleet management, remote monitoring, and predictive maintenance. 

• International experience and cross-cultural collaboration.
