Service Engineering and Information Management is a team within Service Market Technology at Volvo Buses. We work together to ensure workshops have the right standard times and information as well as other service market solutions to perform repairs and service on our buses.
This is the role
As a Requirements Engineer for Spare Parts at Volvo Buses, you will be actively involved in product development projects, ensuring that spare parts requirements are integrated at the appropriate stages. You will participate in breaking down complete offer requirements for vehicle modules, functions, and other solutions in collaboration with fellow Requirement Engineers and Maintainability Feature Leader. This means you will develop your product knowledge of bus systems while gaining a comprehensive understanding of spare parts needs to support efficient maintenance and supply. You will be part of a team where we support each other but will also be expected to work independently as you grow in your responsibilities. As you mature in the role there will be opportunities to take on more responsibilities, leading initiatives in different areas and representing the team in cross functional forums.
With your special interest in data analytics, you can understand, analyze, and translate data into visions helping us to work lean and efficiently.

This is you
- You are a driven and creative person, good at structuring your work and tasks but also have experience and capacity from managing smaller project teams to common goals.
- You are an experienced Requirement Engineering for Parts or Spare part engineering with knowledge of heavy-duty spare part business.
- Knowledge and experience of establishing and optimizing the spare parts assortment for all parts belonging to an area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of Virtual tools such as IPS, CATIA and/or Creo.
- Understanding and performing good repair analyses virtually, securing tool access.
- Aftermarket experience within Volvo products, familiar with Spare part business, spare part assortment policies and maintenance contracts understanding.
- You interact with others, social skills, and enjoy working in teams.
- Like to work in a rapidly change environment,
- Understand collaboration with body builders and other partners and be able to support
- Have knowledge of requirement specification and technical price analyses.
- You have previous knowledge of Volvo Group systems and processes, which is a merit.
