About the Role
We are looking for a Sales & Application Manager to take the lead in the development and customer adaptation of new Battery Systems. In this role, you will have a key part in shaping how we scale up battery solutions for industrial applications, ensuring they meet customer needs and market requirements.

 

You will act as the bridge between our customers, sales organization, and product development teams, providing technical consultation and leading application engineering activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology and to contribute directly to the success of our customers and the evolution of sustainable power systems.

 

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead customer-focused technical consulting on Battery Systems and related power solutions, supporting both our sales organization and our customers throughout the entire process — from concept to installation. You will act as a technical advisor, ensuring that our products are applied and integrated in the best possible way for each customer application.

 

A central part of your mission will be to represent the customer’s voice within Volvo Penta, providing valuable input to Product Management and R&D to ensure that new products and services meet real market needs. You will also play a key role in driving future sales from an application perspective, identifying opportunities and translating them into technical solutions that deliver customer value.

 

Since this is a relatively new position, you will have the opportunity to shape the way we work, introduce improvements, and help define best practices for our growing electrification business. The role also includes international collaboration and travel, engaging with customers and colleagues around the world.

 

Who You Are
•    You have an open and positive mindset with a genuine passion for technology and customer success.
•    You’re a team player who enjoys collaboration and brings energy to cross-functional projects.
•    You are a strong communicator with excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
•    You think at a system level, balancing theoretical understanding with hands-on experience.
•    You likely have a background in power electronics, energy systems, or a related engineering field.

 

What You Bring
•    Relevant engineering degree in Electrical, Power, or Energy Systems.
•    A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience within power systems, electrification, or industrial applications.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Highly meriting experience:
•    Hands-on experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
•    Experience working with Power Conversion Systems (PCS) such as inverters or converters.
•    Understanding of system integration and energy management in hybrid or fully electric systems.
