What you will do
Within Semiconductor and Sensor Purchasing Team you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
As a Semiconductor Supply Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our semiconductor supply chain operations, promoting diverse supply strategies to drive supply stability and building resilience through the lenses of macroeconomics, geopolitics and event-based risks to strengthen Volvo Group´s position.
Main task for the job will be to :
- Build and update the supply strategy for the Semiconductor segment.
- Support strategic sourcing projects related to Semiconductor supply chain.
- Establish and deployed a comprehensive Supply Resilience process across regions, including robust resiliency parameters and early risk detection capabilities.
- Provide critical input to sourcing cases and business continuity analysis.
- Translate business risks into actionable strategies to build resilience within electronics purchasing.
- Coordinate activities related to short term risk and maintain the relationship with the supply network.
- Act as support for escalation with TIER1 and TIER N suppliers.

- Extensive purchasing and Automotive supply chain experience as buyer.
- Business-oriented and strategic mindset with both a financial and technical understanding of electronics and PCB assembly or Semiconductor product.
- Passion for challenge in supplier relationship management.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and networking skills in multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to take ownership of various tasks and problem-solving skills in combination with an analytical mindset.
In addition to this you enjoy driving your own work and taking initiatives, with a team player attitude.
Obviously, your supply mindset or past experience in supply chain role will be highly assessed as it will be one of the core skills to perform in this job !
