Job description

As Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the security of our products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and respond to incidents. Your expertise will be essential in developing and maintaining a robust cybersecurity framework that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect Volvo Group’s information systems and data.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitor security incidents and respond to breaches, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to enhance the cybersecurity culture within the organization.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on engineering and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 21434) and compliance regulations (R155).
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
  • Experience with product cybersecurity is highly desirable.
  • Good level of spoken and written English. Good skills in Japanese are also highly desirable.
