Your Future Team
The Volvo Construction Equipment Accounting, Tax and Internal Control team is a diverse team dedicated to driving change and making a difference. We own and drive the global compliance agenda for the Business Area, through support and security empowering informed business decisions. The team is a part of HQ Volvo CE and is within the central finance function.
Who are you?
You have a strong academic background in law, accounting, finance, or business administration and bring extensive experience from working with taxation and accounting in a multinational environment, advisory firm, or tax authority. Over the course of your career, you have developed deep expertise in direct tax and transfer pricing, both on a jurisdictional and international level, combined with a strong understanding of tax accounting principles under IFRS. You also have an understanding of indirect taxes, such as VAT and GST in an international setting.
You are comfortable operating in complex, global organizations and have a proven ability to lead projects and drive initiatives across functions. Your experience allows you to navigate tax risk, regulatory requirements, and business needs with confidence, while maintaining a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset. You are a strong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trust across functions, cultures, and geographies.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as a senior advisor in the Business Area on complex tax and related tax accounting matters and being the first point of contact towards Volvo Group Tax
• Responsible for managing the Transfer Pricing process within the Business Area through close collaboration with Volvo Group Tax. Including preparation, analysis, approval and execution.
• Driving the Tax agenda through the monthly and quarterly closing processes
• Lead and coordinate the Tax Compliance agenda in the Business Area
• Represent the Business Area in global Volvo Group common Tax Projects, e.g. Pillar II
• Support and govern income tax processes and reporting for the Business Area, including IFRS compliance
• Retain an overview of the tax risks in the Business Area and support the global process
• Develop and implement best practices across tax and related accounting, including process improvements and digitalization
• Provide leadership and direction within cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Ad hoc support and consultation to the on-going ERP project in the area of Direct Tax
How you will make an impact
The responsibilities in this role include keeping the global tax compliance agenda together, through close collaboration with various stakeholders in the Volvo Group. You will be the bridge between Volvo Group Tax strategic direction and the compliance execution owned by the local CFOs of our entities. In doing so you will provide guidance and direction as well as participate in global Tax related initiatives together with other parts of the Volvo Group.
