What you will do

At Volvo Group Purchasing you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As Project Controller or Senior Project Controller, you will:

  • Control vendor tooling (Volvo owned type-bound tooling located in our suppliers’ facilities) investments and material prices in project phase.
  • Secure timely and qualitative reporting and analysis.
  • Lead or actively contribute to continuous improvement, change management and/or knowledge management.
  • Be close to the business but independent, safeguarding integrity and fostering a bottom-line impact mindset in purchasing activities and behaviors.

 

Your future responsibilities

  • Contribute to build vendor tooling investments yearly budget and quarterly estimates.
  • Align cross-functionally and quality assure vendor tooling investments payment plans.
  • Endorse vendor tooling projects investments requests and release approved funds.
  • Analyze, quality assure and approve tooling purchase orders for projects.
  • Analyze and comment vendor tooling investments monthly variances (actuals vs. yearly budget, vs. latest quarterly estimate, etc.) at Group Trucks Purchasing department level and/or at Volvo Group Trucks brand level.
  • In project phase, closely monitor, analyze and report material price evolutions through the established KPIs; secure connection to SCOS (Standard Cost Of Sales).
  • Participate in both purchasing and cross-functional reference groups and to other decision fora as applicable.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyzes on request (e.g. sourcing cases, make or buy investigations, etc.).
  • Support and train GTP employees (e.g. Buyers, Project Managers Purchasing) within the area of expertise.

 

Your future team

Within the Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing Division and Business Controlling Department, the Investment & Project Controlling team’s mission is to be the center of financial expertise in purchasing investments and project controlling for best decision making and compliance, and to create added value to our stakeholders by driving and optimizing it.
You will be part of a global team of Project Controllers, Investment Controllers and Functional Leaders, and you will report to the Head of Investment & Project Controlling.

  • Work experience as Business Controller, Cost Engineer, Finance Project Manager, Product Finance Engineer, Project Buyer, Project Manager Purchasing or similar.
  • General knowledge or interest on automotive industry & manufacuring processes. 
  • Digitization, digitalization and digital transformation skills a plus.
