Our Department, Vehicle Software-R&D within Digital and IT, has the ability to provide digital capabilities to create embedded software that supports services & diagnostics. We provide & facilitate a secure pathway for qualified software deployment.
Our teams are developing Business Applications supporting Embedded Software documentation configuration and release.
Our stakeholders are Software engineers developing software used in all products such as trucks, engines, buses, and construction equipment.
We have started to migrate our applications to cloud as Microservices and Micro Frontends as Single Page Applications and will continue our path towards this. In addition to this, our strategic focus is on skills that will define the future of IT: automation, modernization, and smart, scalable solutions. We aim to prioritize expertise in AI, microservices, and .NET to create innovative, intelligent systems that position us ahead in the industry.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of work experience as a Solution architect.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Knowledge of software defined vehicle and modern automotive software platforms and architectures
- Ability to communicate complex aspects within area of specialization
- Proven experience in learning new business domains, processes, and capabilities.
- Experience in modeling tools (Sparx EA) and modeling languages such as UML, BPM.
- Experience in Automotive industry architectural patterns and frameworks
- 10+ years of IT experience, whereof 5+ years as a solution architect or similar
- Knowledge about functionality (abilities) in. Net5+ , Node.js
- Experience in Azure open shift, Azure Red Hat OpenShift
- Experience in implementation of Microservice, Micro Frontend using:
- Microservice Architecture, Event-Driven development
- REST, RESTful API
- Domain Driven Design
- Single Page Application
- Experience in Confluence, Azure DevOps with CI/CD development
- Cyber Security knowledge in Digital applications and services
Responsibilities:
- Secure that solution follow Volvo Groups policies (quality, security)
- Analyze Business needs and understanding business domain (Embedded Software)
- Researching and understanding new technologies with focus on solution improvement
- Ensure cybersecurity aspects are incorporated in proposed architectural solutions.
- Collaborating closely with other solution architects, agile teams, Digital Product Owners, suppliers, and third-party stakeholders in defining the technology, creating a detailed software design of the solution.
- Actively participating in the PI planning events and ceremonies and together with the rest of Solution architects visualize and present your tasks/commitments/backlogs.
- Working with cross-functional teams and assures that technical solutions are part of the long-term strategic development plan.
- Communication, transparency, growth mindset and open for innovation
- Passion for DevOps, way of working, automation, continuous improvements, and a strong sense of team collaboration.
