Who are you?
As a Solution Architect within Manufacturing, you will be at the heart of Volvo Group’s digital transformation — shaping the solutions that power the factories of tomorrow. You’ll help us reimagine how technology enables smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable manufacturing across the world.
You will take ownership of our manufacturing solution portfolio and work side by side with a passionate community of architects, engineers, and business experts. Together, you’ll transform ideas into reality — connecting strategy with execution and ensuring that every digital initiative creates real value for our people and our operations.
A Solution Architect is the technical strategist and guide — the one who sees the big picture, understands the details, and creates architect solutions that make the business both more efficient and future-ready. You combine strategic vision and ensure our digital architecture supports long-term growth and agility.
Your days will be filled with exploration, creation, and collaboration. You will lead the evolution of our capabilities and value streams, define and implement digital strategies that improve manufacturing processes, and design solutions that empower teams to work in new, more data-driven ways. You’ll work across every layer of our technology landscape — from user experience to infrastructure — ensuring our digital ecosystem is cohesive, scalable, and ready for the future. You thrive in an agile environment, where teamwork, iteration, and transparency drive progress. You will analyze business needs and translate them into architectural direction, design end-to-end solutions that balance innovation and stability, and ensure that all systems work seamlessly together.
You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Solution and Software Engineers, aligning technological choices with business goals. You will also guide and mentor teams, helping them adopt modern development practices and architectural thinking. Above all, you’ll make sure every solution we create is built to last — secure, scalable, and aligned with our long-term digital vision. You are an experienced and forward-thinking Solution Architect who thrives where technology meets business.
You bring both analytical sharpness and creative curiosity to everything you do. You have a natural drive to solve problems and turn complexity into clarity. You’re not only technically skilled — you’re a storyteller who can translate intricate technical concepts into meaningful business insights that inspire action. Your background in end-to-end manufacturing processes gives you a deep understanding of how operations, planning, supply chain, and warehousing connect — and how digital solutions can make them stronger together. You’re comfortable being close to operations, spending time at the factory, and seeing first-hand how technology supports real-life production.
