About the position
We are looking for a Senior Space Manager for Gothenburg & Campus Lundby site to join Volvo Group Real Estate (VGRE). In this role, you will work with workplace and space optimization across multiple business units, helping to create solutions that support both business needs and the employee experience. You will collaborate with stakeholders on workplace design, space planning, and portfolio-related topics, while also contributing to the implementation of the Volvo Group Workplace concept. This is a role where you can make a meaningful difference in how our workplaces support collaboration and everyday work across the organization.
What you will do
At Volvo Group Real Estate, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:
- Lead complex need analysis initiatives across multiple business units and translate them into strategic, scalable workplace and space solutions
- Facilitate stakeholder dialogues related to workplace design and space utilization
- Implement the Volvo Group Workplace concept in Gothenburg, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
- Identify and proactively lead opportunities to optimize the real estate portfolio from both a cost and experience perspective
- Oversee and guide space planning activities, ensuring high quality and consistency across projects including scenario planning and capacity forecasting
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders, project managers, and cross-functional teams globally
- Contribute to long-term real estate and workplace concept improvements
In this role, you will have a significant impact on how our workplaces enable collaboration, innovation, and performance across the organization.
You will report to the Head of Gothenburg Workplace Optimization in VGRE.
This position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden and requires being on site.

Essential requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within space management, workplace strategy, or real estate planning
- Proven track record of leading need analysis and transforming business requirements into effective workplace solutions
- Strong experience in stakeholder management at senior levels, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
- Strategic and analytical mindset, combined with a hands-on approach to execution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swedish
- Academic degree or professional background within real estate, facility management, architecture, workplace consulting, or a related field
Nice to have:
- Experience from large, international organizations
- Experience in driving workplace transformation and change management initiatives
- Knowledge of activity-based workplaces and modern office concepts
