What you will do
As a Test & System Engineer, you will be part of a team that ensures Volvo Buses customer quality issues are resolved. Your work spans the full journey, from understanding failure mode in the field to supporting root cause investigations aimed at reproducing them. You will also contribute in developing, verifying, and validating new solutions. 


This will include different types of testing and measurements during all phases such as temperature and pressure, flow, interior climate, stress measurements with strain gauges and powertrain behavior.

Chassis and Driveline Quality is part of the Customer Quality Experience (CQE) organization. We are a cross-functional team of Design and Test Engineers and Project Management roles, united by a common goal: delivering solutions that improve product uptime and create great ownership experience for our customers.


We work in agile ways with a strong customer focus, collaborating closely across functions to resolve quality topics for Volvo Buses. With deep technical expertise, we enjoy exploring challenges, discussing ideas, and finding creative solutions together. Who are you?
We are looking for a person with broad knowledge and experience in automotive measurement tests who wants to be part of a creative and multicultural team of colleagues, with a mission to solve customer problems and maintain uptime for our customers. 

 

Skills
•    A bachelor - or master’s degree in engineering or other similar education/experience
•    Knowledge and understanding of testing fundamentals and principles
•    Experience from heavy vehicle components and systems
•    Interest in practical work and curiosity to find out how things work drive and engage you
•    Good English skills, both verbal and written
•    Basic knowledge of Volvo systems (for example KOLA)

 

Meritorious

•    Experience with vehicle data bus communication (CAN, LIN)
•    Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (Vision, CANalyzer, ipemotion)
•    System knowledge of ECU application work and engine control
•    Experience in vehicle diagnostics
•    Experience with stress and strain measurements using strain gauges
•    Bus driving license
