Your future team
You will join a global, cross-functional team responsible for developing and evolving one of Volvo Penta's core digital platforms—the Service Backbone. This platform plays a critical role in connecting business applications and enabling seamless service operations across the Volvo Penta ecosystem. Our team designs, builds, and maintains enterprise-grade features, APIs, and integrations that support key business capabilities, including service dealer contract sales, service lifecycle management, entitlements, Service BOM management, and orchestration between connected systems.
Who are you?
You are a passionate software engineer who enjoys building scalable, high-quality enterprise applications and solving complex technical challenges. You have strong full-stack development experience with the Microsoft technology stack and are comfortable working across the entire software development lifecycle—from designing solutions to delivering production-ready features.
You take ownership of your work, write clean and maintainable code, and believe in engineering best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines and cultures, communicate effectively, and thrive in an agile, team-oriented environment.
You are curious, eager to learn, and motivated to contribute to the evolution of modern software solutions that deliver real business value.
Required skills
- Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
- Experience building scalable backend services and microservices, Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles
- Database experience with MS SQL (or similar) , Entity Framework (EF)
- Strong knowledge of SOLID principles and software design best practices
- Git proficiency; unit/integration testing and/or TDD experience
- Azure Cloud Knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Front-end experience with React, Angular, or Blazor
- Experience with application logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing
