We are searching for a new Senior System Verification Engineer and Team Lead that will be part of our dynamic and diverse testing team within Volvo Buses and the Integration and Verification team.
You will be part of a dynamic and dedicated team with a lot of experience in Volvo Buses product development. The team is always committed to continuously improving our daily work, sharing knowledge and most important maintaining a good and respectful environment for the team members to develop, grow and have fun at work. In the role you perform SW testing, where you should take full ownership of your test assignments, from preparation through execution to final reporting. But the main responsibility will be as Team Lead for the group. In this part you will not only guide the testing group but also inspire and mentor the members to achieve their best. This means:
• facilitate the team planning including sprints, daily standups and retrospectives.
• coordinate resources, tasks and test objects together with the manager of Integration & Verification.
• have dialogues not just with the team and manager but also with project managers, representatives and integration release team.
• work with strategies and be involved in planning verification activities and to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts.
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in system testing, preferably in the automotive sector, and proven experience in team leadership. Since we are in the last step of the development process we will need someone who feels confident in speaking up for your cause and the team, but who also can listen to and understand different needs both within and outside the group. You need to like to work with people, develop them and communicate the outcome of your work. It is important that you have a good understanding of electronic/electrical vehicle architecture, including verification measuring/monitoring tools such as CANalyzer. You are familiar with the concept of end user function, electronic control units and system testing in general. English is the main language both in the team but also within the company.
We work closely together in both our own team and teams around us, collaboration and communication are important as well as having fun and enjoying our days and work. The full Integration & Verification team consists of:
• complete vehicle verification engineers and fault tracers working in the workshop and buses
• baseline managers and integration release team that ensures the delivery of SW
• HIL (Hardware In the Loop) engineers that are building and maintaining the HIL rigs.
We are stationed in Arendal, Gothenburg, but have a close collaboration with Volvo Buses in Curitiba and with our suppliers around the world.
