Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

Volvo Financial Services is recruiting a Tax Manager to complete its central tax team at Global Headquarters in Gothenburg. Reporting to the Vice President, VFS Tax, you will help deliver the Volvo Group Tax Strategy and strengthen tax compliance, processes, and technology across VFS.

How we work and what you will do
The responsibility for tax matters within the Volvo Group is shared between the Group Tax function and VFS. Whereas Group Tax oversees the Volvo Group’s global tax affairs, VFS is responsible for the tax compliance operations and bears the financial responsibility for taxes within VFS.
You will take ownership of assigned tax workstreams and turn priorities into practical solutions. Working closely with colleagues across VFS and the Volvo Group Tax Function, you will support consistent execution of relevant tax processes across markets. Portfolios will be shaped around the strengths of the team and the needs of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering assigned tax workstreams and supporting implementation of the Volvo Group Tax Strategy within VFS.
• Strengthening tax compliance, reporting, risk monitoring, internal controls, and process efficiency.
• Providing practical tax support to regional and market teams.
• Coordinating work on evolving requirements, including Pillar 2, transfer pricing documentation, digital reporting, and e-invoicing.
• Using data, automation, and digital tools to improve tax processes and transparency.
• Monitoring tax developments and supporting Group Tax in tax audits and inquiries.

Your future team
You will join a close-knit central team comprising the Vice President, Tax and three Tax Managers. You will have your own areas of responsibility while collaborating across the wider VFS tax agenda.

Based in Gothenburg, you will work with colleagues across VFS and the Volvo Group Tax Function, gaining broad exposure and the opportunity to make a visible impact.
Who are you?
You are a collaborative tax professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, delivery-focused approach. You can explain complex issues clearly, build trusted relationships, and manage multiple priorities in an international environment. An interest in tax technology and continuous improvement will help you succeed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
• At least seven years of relevant experience in direct and/or indirect tax within a multinational, tax authority, or leading tax advisory environment.
• Strong knowledge of international tax and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify tax risks and translate requirements into practical actions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with tax technology, automation, digital reporting, or process improvement is an advantage.
