Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

Project Description

The Volvo Trucks Plant in Tuve, Gothenburg, produces heavy trucks for the global market. Since Tuve is the introduction plant for Volvo Trucks we are the first to produce new models of our vehicles. Therefore, most new process tools are designed in Tuve and then copied to other assembly plants.

The Tooling & Equipment department receives work orders through a SharePoint based system and now there is a wish to find a more modern and efficient solution.

Task:

In collaboration with the plant IT team, the Tool design teams in Tuve and our other plants, identify the users and their needs. Then create a new digital set up for the Tool & Equipment Request (TER) system using the IT tools available at Volvo (MS Office, Power apps, Co-Pilot, etc.).

Investigate how/if the use of AI agents can make the main user groups use the system more efficiently.

Create user manual and train key users in the new system.

We require the work to be performed by a team of two students. Please state the name of your partner in your application.

Applicants without partner will not be considered.

Main location for the project group will be the assembly plant in Tuve, Gothenburg. The students are expected to spend most of the time on-site, collaborating with the plant staff.
