What We Offer You

 

As an Intern in the Back Office and Liquidity team, you will be part of Volvo Treasury’s core mission to secure the Volvo Group’s payment capability. You will join the team at an exciting time, as the geopolitical challenges are providing new demands continuously.

 

You will gain practical experience in treasury operations, work closely with experienced colleagues, and develop a strong understanding of how one of Northern Europe’s largest corporate treasuries operates.

 

Where You Fit In


You will be part of a global Back Office and Liquidity team with colleagues located in Gothenburg, Greensboro, and Singapore. The team works closely with other treasury functions, Volvo Group companies, banks, and external financial institutions.

 

The team plays a vital role in treasury deal administration and transaction flows. As an Intern, you will support daily operations and controls to ensure accuracy and quality in our transactions.

 


Your Responsibilities

 

  • Supporting treasury deal administration and transaction controls
  • Executing and monitoring treasury payments
  • Participating in the consolidation of the Volvo Group’s daily liquidity
  • Supporting cash pool management and liquidity forecast follow-up
  • Assisting with the Volvo Group’s internal netting activities

 

 

With time and experience, there are opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and participate in improvement initiatives and project-related tasks.

Who You Are

 

You are a committed and positive team player who enjoys working in a structured and deadline-driven environment. You take initiative, have a strong sense of responsibility, and demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics.

 


We believe that you:

 

  • Are in your first or second year of university studies
  • Are studying Industrial Engineering and Management, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field
  • Have an interest in financial markets and financial products
  • Are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Swedish is meriting.

 

Previous work experience, regardless of industry, is considered an advantage but is not required.

Practical Information

 

  • Full-time work during summer and other holiday periods 
  • Part-time position (2–3 days per week), with flexibility around studies and exams
  • The job is on-site at the physical office location in Lindholmen, Gothenburg
