Volvo Bus Corporation in Sweden is looking for a new VIE - Purchasing Data & Sustainability Analyst for a mission of 24 months. The beginning of the mission is preferably the 1st of May.
What you will do:
You will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society as a whole. In a team composed of 10 passionate, dynamic and creative of collaborators you will :
- Identify efficiency initiatives (automation etc.) within purchasing by collaborating with Purchasing community
- Collect, visualize, and analyze data for opportunities/problems defined by the business. Extract and structure data using specialized analytics tools. Build data models, standard reports, and tools for purchasing and the wider user community.
- Design, prototype and implement statistical and predictive models.
- Conduct analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance
- Build business cases for data science applications through collaboration with business leaders and subject matter experts
- Develop (self or together with Digital & IT) data visualizations to communicate complex data sets in a simple manner to end-users and business executives
- Utilize cognitive computing to interpret data, make information easily accessible and support decision making
- Address training needs in automation and data visualization
- Support the development of different sustainability strategies, including actionable roadmaps
- Propose and present areas for improvement and implement them.
- Create sound communication package

Education and Experience:
Pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a Data Science specialization or an Engineering degree focused on Data Science provides a strong foundation. Internships in Purchasing, Digital/IT, or Controlling/Finance offer valuable hands-on experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Python, Data bricks, KNIME, Azure Machine Learning Service, and knowledgeable in POWERBI, Microsoft 365, and Power shell. Adaptability to learn new languages as needed for the evolving landscape is a key asset.
Professional Traits:
Thrives in a multi-functional and complex environment, demonstrating eagerness to learn and self-drive. Effective communication and interpersonal skills foster collaboration. Strong interest in sustainability and an analytical spirit for drawing relevant conclusions from data.
Personal Attributes:
Creative, team-oriented, positive, and ambitious, with a passion for growing the company, driving innovation, and embracing change. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Language Skills:
Fluent in English, with proficiency in French and Swedish considered advantageous for international collaboration.
