What you will do

In Volvo Buses we have a purpose to make a difference, being pioneers of sustainable transport solutions of the future. GBP (Global Bus Purchasing) is a Global function that consist of approx. 120 employees in four countries (Canada, Poland, Mexico, Brazil, and Sweden).  We have the responsibility to source suppliers that deliver material at the right cost, quality, and technology, at the right time to the entire Volvo Buses organization.

We are looking for a dynamic and solution-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to join our Supplier Network Resilience (SNR) Team. We offer an interesting and challenging position in a global and high-paced environment with possibilities to broaden competencies and skills.

 

You will be responsible and support our department with:

  • Supplier Risk Assessment: Assessing potential risks within our supplier network
  • Contingency Planning: Assist in creating mitigation plans to reduce impacts from disruptions
  • Data Analysis: Effectively analyze, visualize, and share data using Power BI’s features and capabilities
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Provide reports to Management on regular basis concerning the resilience of the supplier network

As a Supplier Network Resilience Coordinator, you will coordinate the process of supplier network resilience, including analyzing supplier performance and mitigating potential risks that arise. You will have daily contact with a large network of purchasing and SNR professionals from Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and Europe. 

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you need excellent analytical skills in combination with a genuine interest in the external environment and to stay updated on external forces that might have an impact on our supply chain. You are curious, agile, and able to think outside the box. Excellent communication and networking skills as well as fluency in English are a must. We are seeking a structured and self-motivated team-player able to meet stringent deadlines. You have a solid educational background in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or equivalent. Skills in MS Office Tools such as Excel and Power BI will be strong assets. It is a merit if you have prior experience from working with Supply Chain or Data Analytics.
