General description of Supply Network Quality department
The Supply Network Quality department (SNQ), belonging to Group Truck Purchasing, is driving the global supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards. The department is responsible to continuously improve the supplier base and the quality of the purchased parts. The three main customers for the Supplier Quality Assurance department in Europe are Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Bus.
New opportunity of VIE - Supplier Quality Engineer in Sweden in Goteborg, starting date on September 1st, duration of the mission : 13 months.
What you will do
In this role, you will support the Supply Network Quality (SNQ) organization within Group Truck Purchasing, helping drive our supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards for Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Buses.
- You will work close to suppliers and internal stakeholders to follow up quality performance,
- support project deliveries at the right quality level, and contribute to solving issues through structured collaboration and continuous improvement.
- You will evaluate supplier production processes and environments, connect with a broad cross-functional network, and work in line with Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing processes and Volvo Group values.

Essential: You are a curious, driven team player with a strong quality mindset and a genuine interest in developing suppliers. You communicate clearly in English and feel comfortable working across functions and cultures.
You build trust-based relationships and take ownership with precision, rigor, and proactivity. You also have an academic background such as an engineering degree (or equivalent).
Experience or knowledge of automotive quality standards and tools such as IATF 16949, APQP-PPAP, process audits, and structured problem solving. A driving license is also an advantage.
