About the VIE Program
The VIE, the International Internship Program, is a French international corporate placement program for young professionals between the age of 18 and 28 who are European Union nationals. Your future team
The Supply Network Quality department (SNQ), belonging to Group Truck Purchasing, is driving the global supplier base towards premium automotive quality standards. The department is responsible to continuously improve the supplier base and the quality of the purchased parts. The three main customers for the Supplier Quality Assurance department in Europe are Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Volvo Bus.
As the journey is in constant growth, the department is looking for 2 VIEs, one in Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics team, and one in Cab Body & Visibility team. By applying you will, as part of the recruitment process, be able to join one or the other. The VIE will be a 13 months contract, starting September 1st 2025 in Gothenburg.
You will join a passionate team working in a multicultural, open and dynamic environment, eager to develop and improve with all of our stakeholders, internal and external, in order to ensure the best quality of our products. The main focus of the team is on performance, both on supplier results and its own efficiency.
What you will do
The job as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is exciting and often rewarding, working for the benefit of the Customer Satisfaction, in contact with multiple internal and external stakeholders. In parallel to your personally designed training program, you will focus on supporting the Supplier Quality Engineering team in the follow up and development of our suppliers as well as on the internal cross functional work.
That means, e.g.:
• Support and secure supplier deliveries along the project at the right quality level
• Support and solve in collaboration with the supplier and internal stakeholder the problems raised
• Evaluate the production processes and environment at our suppliers
• Ensure collaboration with a large internal network
• Work in accordance with processes defined within Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing as well as with our defined Values (Customer success, Trust, Passion, Change, Performance) in focus

Who are you ?

We believe you have an adequate academic education such as engineering degree and that you are strong in both written and verbal communication in English.
A plus would be some knowledge in the automotive quality standards and tools, such as IATF 16949, APQP-PPAP, process audit and problem solving, as well as a driving license.
