Your future team 

 

Vehicle Projects Purchasing Team is now looking for a VIE to join their dynamic and goal-oriented team. This opportunity as a VIE will start September 1st 2025, in Gothenburg, for a 13th months contract. 

 

We belong to Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM), part of the Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) organization.

We are leading projects, from early phase up to start of production. We are in charge to secure purchasing deliveries of the Vehicle project portfolio in Europe, and to secure that purchasing requirements are safeguarded within the projects. We are also representing GTP in all cross-functional governances.

What you will do

 

As a VIE you will:

 

  • Support the Project Panager Purchasing to lead, plan and follow-up the purchasing contribution of product development initiatives according to agreed scope, budget, time plan, quality and risk management.
  • Act and deliver in a large network requesting strong collaboration with stakeholders and you will be a key player in the cross-functional product development teams.
  • Be the interface with the Purchasing line organization and work closely together to secure purchasing interest when building the development roadmaps. As the development process is undergoing changes, you understand the need of an agile approach with a quality secured implementation.

 

Who are you?

 

  • You have a university degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in engineering or business.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • You understand the Purchasing challenges and you are ready to support them.
  • You are strong in communication, within Purchasing as well as project stakeholders/network.
  • You are structured with analytical and logical mind-set; you have the ability to see the big picture and also to go into the details.
  • You appreciate feedback and seek for continuous improvement.
  • You are open minded with a positive attitude.
  • You welcome issues and for you everything is possible to solve in one way or another.
  • You cooperate and stay accountable for the deliveries.

Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) Purchasing is a global organization within Group Trucks Purchasing with holistic responsibility over the Product Project portfolio, Volume & Supplier Capacity Planning, Supplier Development and Crisis Management. 

 

We deliver customer value via End 2 End product evolution ownership & resilient supply network, and we enable the best Performance & Customer Success outcomes while fully coordinated with Group Trucks Technology and Group Trucks Operatiions and Volvo Brands within efficient governance structure. 

 

We have a data-based proactive supply network management as well as a strong reactive capability – driving industry leading performance. We use digitalization to Monitor & Develop our suppliers into Trusted Partners, leading to full transparency and proactive visibility of risks during E2E processes.
