Purpose of the Role

The Vice President, Finance is a senior global finance leadership role with enterprise-wide accountability for financial performance, value creation, and strategic execution across Volvo Financial Services (VFS).

Acting as a direct extension of the CFO, this role combines core VP Finance responsibilities; financial stewardship, performance management, and capital efficiency, with leadership of selected corporate development and transformation initiatives critical to VFS’s long-term strategy and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a senior finance leader supporting the CFO, working in conjunction with peers in the global finance function, in enterprise-wide financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet, capital efficiency, and risk-adjusted returns. 
• Serve as a strategic business partner and co-driver, ensuring financial insights, scenario modelling, and forward-looking analysis to inform executive decision-making. 
• Drive strong financial governance, internal controls, and performance management across enterprise initiatives. 
• Lead finance-driven corporate development and transformation initiatives sponsored by the CFO. 
• Translate strategic priorities into robust business cases with clear value creation, capital allocation and risk considerations. Executing on these priorities where required.
• Prepare high-quality executive materials for EMT, ECC, and other governance forums. 
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance, accounting, tax, and Volvo Group governance standards.
• Play a key role in leading and coordinating global finance mobility and development programs, including line management responsibility.

• Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within a complex, global organization 
• Deep expertise in P&L and balance sheet management, capital efficiency and funding 
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to act as a trusted business partner 
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional strategic and transformation initiatives 
• Advanced skills in financial modelling, analysis, and performance management 
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at EMT and Group level 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams 
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
