This role is responsible for processing and analyzing unsecured credit requests from existing or prospective customers within the Parts & Service Financing (PSF) portfolio for FleetPREFERRED and SMART Commercial Accounts. Customer financing applications are reviewed for accurate and complete information and processed to ensure timely and comprehensive credit review and underwriting with the highest level of customer service and professionalism.  Additionally, the PSF Credit Analyst helps monitor portfolio risk and ongoing maintenance of existing customer accounts status and credit facilities. 

 

The role is located in Greensboro, NC and reports to the Manager of Integration and Credit for the PSF business.

 

This is how you make an impact

•    Underwrites unsecured parts and service receivable program applications from Volvo Group customers, completes periodic customer credit renewals, for decision within delegated credit authority.
•    Reviews credit submittal, D&B, credit bureau, Paynet, or other individual and commercial credit bureau reports for completeness.
•    Understands truck and construction fleet parts and service purchasing habits; analyzes historical and projected volume and uses PSF Credit Matrix and/or financial analysis to determine repayment risk.
•    Develops and utilizes financial statement analysis skills to spread financial statements and prepare written comments highlighting important aspects of the financial statements.
•    Establishes customer files and performs necessary verifications of borrowers and guarantors (i.e. Secretary of State, debt history, trade history, , and revenue sources) as required.
•    Interacts extensively with Dealers, Customers, and Mack/Volvo Truck, VCE Aftermarket sales teams to understand customer needs in order to provide a complete credit solution while maintaining sound underwriting and risk practices.
•    Works with VFS Litigation and Bankruptcy team on bankruptcies or other customer accounts that need to be noticed when severely delinquent.
•    Liaison with OEM and VFS Sales on special credit offerings.

Who are you?

•     BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
•     At least two years of credit underwriting experience and strong analytical skills, including familiarity with personal credit bureau reports, commercial business reports (Dun and Bradstreet, Experian, Paynet, etc.), and other reference sources.
•    Familiarity with financial statements and experience preparing written summaries of key information. Financial statement analysis includes ratio analysis, common sizing, review of industry norms, trending, and cash flow analysis. 
•    Experience in interpreting key financial information and assessing the potential impact on the borrower is necessary.
•    Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
•    Intermediate level in MS Office 365 required. Experience with PowerBI a plus, and expert level in MS Excel preferred.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $63,100.00 - $77,900.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
