What you will do
The District Finance Manager represents Volvo Financial Services (VFS) in the Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Alaska, Colorado, Virginia, Hawaii, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico territories by developing loyal and strong working relationships with our Volvo Construction distributors, our Volvo Construction OEM counterparts and our mutual retail customers.
While in the field, the District Finance Manager must also work as an effective and integral part of the VFS internal dealer/customer resource teams to service the Volvo Construction distributors and customers. The successful District Finance Manager will be responsible for achieving certain measurable sales and operational results while continuing to display certain core skills and behaviors. The preferred candidate will reside and be domiciled in the territory referenced above.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Director, East Region.
Responsibilities:
• Retail Volume: Exceeding established quotas in loan and lease volumes.
• Dealer Penetration: Defined as the number of new Volvo machines financed as a percentage of new Volvo machines delivered to the end user.
• After Tax Return on Equity on an acquired retail portfolio.
• Entering deals into front end F&I system - Trans-Action.
• Insurance: Assist in providing leads to in-house insurance team.
• Effectively managing the overall territory through analysis of potential dealer and customer opportunities. District Finance Manager will be responsible for developing actionable and measurable territory plans to achieve targeted goals.
• Direct contact and interaction with Volvo Construction Equipment company field and support representatives to ensure that Volvo Financial Services is supporting the effort and strategy of the OEM.
• Support Volvo Construction Equipment’s efforts on conquest and targeted customers by team selling and bundling of their machine sales with our financial services.
• Tracking and entering of sales activities, plans, progress and results daily into salesforce contract management software.
• Follow the Volvo Employee Practices Policies that include Volvo Code of Conduct, Travel and Entertainment and Company Car policies.

Education:
• BA/BS degree in finance, business, or marketing preferred.
Experience:
• Proven financial services expertise in the construction equipment industry indicated by a minimum of 3-5 years progressive industry experience.
Skills:
• Strong expertise in financial analysis to include the ability to analyze dealer financial statements and operations.
• Strong expertise in sales/marketing, and strategic forecasting/planning.
• Proven problem solving and customer service skills in a financial products.
• Proven experience in structuring and negotiating finance/lease transactions.
• Strong technical skills in financing capital equipment and law requirements.
• Understands the principles of leasing; tax aspects, cash management, off-balance sheet, and lease versus buy decision making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to generate customer responses that are effective and reliable.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite. Understanding of Salesforce CRM and Super Trump or similar finance/lease pricing tool is required.
