Position Description

The Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on genuine business topics.

Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you.


You will have the opportunity to travel across the globe, exploring different sites, markets and collaborating with people from several nationalities. This is a full-time position, and you will be given a motivating hands-on role, working in a diverse, international, and cross-disciplinary environment.

 

The Engineering Graduate Program starts in August 2026, and the position will be located in Greensboro, NC.

What you`ll be doing:

As an Associate Engineer, Wiring & Harness, you will be part of the EEVC – Wiring & Installation Team, supporting the development of wiring harness systems and installation strategies for Volvo and Mack products.

 

Your Mission:

  • Design and develop documentation of chassis wiring harnesses for various vehicle platforms.
  • Support routing and installation activities, including clip selection and packaging validation
  • Maintain interface definitions and contribute to harness architecture alignment
  • Participate in technical reviews and supplier interactions to learn about quality and cost considerations
  • Collaborate internationally with cross-functional teams to understand the full product development lifecycle
  • Engage in agile team rituals such as standups and demos to experience iterative delivery

Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in one of the following fields: Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Design Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems or similar
  • Graduate(d) between December 2024 and May 2026
  • Maximum of two years’ working experience prior to or after graduation
  • Fluent in English and have an international mind-set

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $72,600 - $89,700 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
