Financial Analyst - Mack Trucks

What you will do

The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Controller – Financial Planning & Analysis to support senior management by delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information. This role is critical to enabling effective decision making through planning, forecasting, and business control activities across Mack Trucks.

 

Key Responsibilities
•    Support all Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities for Mack Trucks.
•    Prepare standard monthly financial reports, presentations, and supporting materials for Business Review Meetings and Board presentations.
•    Actively support the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes, including consolidation of forecasts and business plans.
•    Perform variance analysis and gross income bridge analysis, comparing actual results to prior periods and latest estimates.
•    Collaborate with controllers and cross‑functional partners to understand financial and operational drivers impacting Mack’s performance.
•    Serve as the Hyperion Financial Planning and Essbase Super User, with responsibility for managing, maintaining, and supporting both systems.

Critical Competencies
•    Experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase / Hyperion Financial Planning a plus.
•    Working knowledge of SAP or other similar accounting software systems.
•    Experience dealing with multiple currencies and exchange rates preferred.
•    Strong analytical and writing skills.
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel and PowerPoint).
•    Ability to build effective working relationships and communicate at all levels within the organization.

 

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting of Finance (CPA or MBA a plus).


Preferred Experience and Knowledge
•    Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Business Control, Finance, or Accounting.
•    Prior experience with financial consolidations and reporting a plus.

For this position, the base pay is set at $72,600.00 - $89,700.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
