Intern: Autonomous Driving (Summer 2026)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Autonomous Driving Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience in autonomous driving and robotics within a global company. The intern will support the development, integration, and testing of autonomous vehicle systems, working with real-world data and vehicle platforms. This part-time role is designed to complement ongoing academic studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support development of autonomous transport systems and vehicle platforms for hub-to-hub and confined-area operations.
  • Work with autonomy enabled vehicle, configuration, and operational data to support system analysis, testing, and performance evaluation.
  • Assist with integration of autonomous systems across perception, planning, control, and vehicle platforms.
  • Participate in field testing and validation of autonomous transport solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and solutions teams to improve safety, robustness, and operational reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, and Computer Engineering, or a related field and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a “can-do” mindset.
  • Enjoys exploring new challenges and navigating uncertainty.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Curious and eager to learn, experiment, and grow.
  • Collaborative with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; willingness to learn finance software.
  • Summer interns may work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
