Intern: Customer Process Digitalization (Summer 2026)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Customer Process Digitalization Intern to support the review, simplification, and documentation of our customer operational processes. This role will focus on transforming complex workflows into clear, structured, and user-friendly versions that can be easily connected to a chatbot or digital assistant.

The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, with a passion for improving the customer experience through clarity, automation, and digital thinking.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in academic courses and pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Communication, or related field at an accredited school and must have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
  • Must be in good academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75/4.0
  • Interns may work up to 40 hour per week during the summer internship period.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation concepts and customer experience processes.
  • Experience (academic or project-based) with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or process documentation tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro, Visio) is a plus.
  • Interest in AI, chatbot design, or digital customer experience preferred.
  • English proficiency (written and spoken).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze existing customer service and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and eliminate unnecessary steps.
  • Document processes in a clear and structured format suitable for chatbot and digital tool integration.
  • Develop easy-to-understand customer manuals, guides, and FAQs based on operational content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (warehouse, claims, Customer Service, IT, Process Excellence) to validate workflows.
  • Support testing and refinement of chatbot scripts to ensure they align with documented processes.
  • Contribute ideas to improve digitalization and automation within the customer journey.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities and able to translate complex procedures into simple, clear instructions.
  • Good understanding of process mapping and documentation (e.g., flowcharts, SOPs).
  • Awareness of digital tools, automation, and chatbot technologies.
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency across documents.
  • Creative mindset with a focus on user experience (UX) and process clarity.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
