About this Role
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Intern to support key activities for our organization as a security operations center analyst. The ideal candidate will have a broad cyber security background and experience with traditional SoC tools such as SIEM's SOARS, EDR's, and various OSINT tools. The Intern will work closely with senior SoC analysts to perform cyber security investigations, analyze logs and data, and provide insights to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with and perform cyber security investigations with Senior SoC analysts.
• Analyze logs and data to perform analysts of Indicators of Compromise (IoC's)
• Assist in maintaining and updating of procedures, plans, runbooks. maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Work with cross-functional teams to follow cyber security processes.
• Assist with additional cyber security duties such as Threat Hunting, Cyber Threat Intelligence and Cybersecurity engineering.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to support security operations.
Who are you?
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Must have 30 cumulative credit hours and a minimum GPA of 2.75
• Strong technical background and experience with traditional cybersecurity tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Spring interns may work up to 30 hours a week

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
