Position Summary
The People & Culture Transformation Intern plays a key role in supporting strategic transformation initiatives across the People & Culture function. This position partners closely with People & Culture leaders and subject matter experts to better understand how work flows through the organization, identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve employee experiences, enhance operational effectiveness, and support data-driven decision making.
The intern will help map workflows and value streams, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, establish meaningful success measures and predictive metrics, document standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assist in developing practical policies, procedures, and guidelines that enable scalable and sustainable ways of working.
This role is ideal for a curious, analytical, and innovative student interested in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Transformation, People Analytics, or Process Improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Partner with People & Culture leaders to understand current workflows, processes, and operational challenges.
- Facilitate documentation of end-to-end processes and value streams across People & Culture functions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that reduce complexity, eliminate waste, improve employee experience, and increase organizational effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by researching industry and HR best practices.
- Assist in designing future-state processes and recommendations that improve efficiency and scalability.
Workforce Analytics & Performance Measurement
- Help define and document key performance indicators (KPIs), success metrics, and leading indicators that support strategic decision making.
- Assist in identifying predictive metrics that provide insights into organizational health, workforce trends, and process performance.
- Support data collection, analysis, and visualization activities.
- Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and recommendations that enable leaders to make informed business decisions.
- Present findings and recommendations to People & Culture stakeholders.
Documentation & Governance
- Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and process maps.
- Assist in drafting policies, procedures, and guidelines that are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational needs.
- Ensure documentation balances consistency and governance without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Support efforts to standardize ways of working across teams while maintaining flexibility where appropriate.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with leaders and team members across the People & Culture organization.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and information-gathering sessions to understand business needs and process requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders to validate recommendations and drive adoption of improved practices.
- Support change management and communication activities related to transformation initiatives.
- Developed meaningful KPI and success measurement frameworks.
- Created SOPs and process documentation that enable consistency and scalability.
- Contributed actionable insights that support People & Culture transformation efforts.
- Helped leaders make better, data-informed decisions through analysis and recommendations.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:

- Related field
OR
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in:
- Human Resources
- Organizational Development
- Industrial-Organizational Psychology
- Business Administration (MBA) with Human Resources focus
- Related field
- Fall interns may work up to 30 hours per week
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies.
