What you will do

The Aftermarket Business Intelligence Manager leads and develops a high-performing analytics team, setting priorities, managing workloads, developing talent, and fostering a collaborative, data-driven culture across the organization. The role transforms complex Parts Sales, Product and Pricing, Services, Uptime, Warranty, and customer data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and drive growth, profitability, customer retention and conquest, and operational excellence across the aftermarket business.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Commercial Analytics
•    Deliver actionable insights through trend analysis, forecasting, predictive analytics, and business performance modeling. 
•    Monitor competitive aftermarket trends, market share opportunities, and customer behavior shifts. 
•    Identify sales opportunities, customer buying patterns, market trends, and growth opportunities across parts and service businesses. 
•    Support Sales teams in building data-driven business plans, territory strategies, customer segmentation, account targeting, and performance tracking. 
•    Analyze fleet purchasing behavior, parts consumption trends, service retention, and uptime performance to improve customer engagement and revenue growth. 
•    Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions supporting Parts Sales, Product & Pricing, Services, Uptime & Warranty.

 

Digital Transformation & Process Automation
•    Support the digital transformation initiatives across the aftermarket organization through advanced analytics, automation, and modern BI solutions to improve decision-making speed and accuracy.
•    Identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, workflow optimization, and AI-driven analytics. 
•    Lead initiatives to automate manual reporting and improve data accessibility across the organization. 
•    Remain current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence, analytics, and software development. 

 

Data Management & Governance
•    Define and maintain standardized KPI definitions, reporting structures, and data governance practices. 
•    Partner with DTO, D&IT, and business stakeholders to improve data architecture, system integration, and reporting scalability. 

 

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Lead and develop Business Intelligence analysts and reporting specialists. 
•    Prioritize analytics initiatives based on business impact and strategic priorities. 
•    Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. 
•    Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams by translating data into strategic recommendations and actionable business plans. 
•    Support dealer network performance analysis and aftermarket growth initiatives.

Who are you?

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or related field required.
•    MBA or advanced degree preferred.
•    7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, commercial reporting, or data management.
•    3+ years of leadership or team management experience.
•    Experience in truck, automotive, heavy equipment, aftermarket, transportation, or industrial industries strongly preferred.
•    Experience supporting aftermarket parts, service operations, dealer networks, or commercial sales organizations preferred.
•    Experience with digital transformation, reporting automation, and advanced analytics initiatives preferred.
•    Global or multi-region experience a plus.

 

Skills & Tools
•    Advanced proficiency in BI and visualization platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
•    Strong SQL, database management, and data modeling skills.
•    Experience working with ERP, CRM, Dealer and Fleet Management Systems, telematics platforms, and data warehouse environments.
•    Familiarity with predictive analytics, AI/ML applications, automation tools, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
•    Advanced Excel and financial/business modeling capabilities.
•    Strong communication and executive presentation skills. 
•    Ability to simplify complex analytics into actionable business recommendations. 
•    Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset. 
•    Strong people leadership and team development skills.
•    Strategic thinker with strong business and commercial acumen.
•    Change management and organizational leadership capability.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $128,300 - $158,400 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
