What you will do
Mission/Purpose of the Job In this position, you will work closely with the VP, Business Control Mack Trucks to provide senior management with all relevant financial information that contributes to an efficient decision-making process for the purpose of planning and business control activities. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Support month-end closing and reporting, delivering detailed analysis and clear narrative on business performance against prior periods, latest estimates and business plans
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, presenting financial analyses and clear insights to support management decisions and action plans
- Collaborate with business controllers and other cross-functional representatives throughout the organization to keep abreast of financial and operational matters impacting Mack’s financial performance.
- Coordinate the preparation of Mack’s annual business plans and periodic estimates
- Responsible for the Investment Process, including investment decision and payment template
- Preparation of material and various ad-hoc analysis for Business Review Meetings and / Board meetings
- Contribute to projects, governance, and internal control activities, ensuring actions are implemented effectively
- Coach, develop and manage a high performing team
- You will be our Hyperion Essbase and Financial Planning Super User, and will have overall responsibility for managing both of these business systems
- Manage business objects and business intelligence data for the Mack Brand
Who are you?
Critical Competencies
- Thorough knowledge and experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase, experience with Hyperion Financial Planning a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP or other similar accounting software systems
- Experience with Industrial business control activities is highly recommended.
- Experience dealing with multiple currencies and exchange rates preferred
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to build effective working relationships and communicate at all levels within the organization
Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA a plus)
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Control or Financial Planning is mandatory
- Prior experience with consolidations and financial reporting a plus
