Manager, Pricing Ops & Transformation
Greensboro, NC, US, 27409
Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
Position Summary
This is an opportunity to help shape a next-generation pricing capability for a major aftermarket parts business. You will influence how pricing decisions are made, help implement a new enterprise pricing platform, develop a team, and introduce analytics and AI-assisted workflows that move pricing from transactional execution toward stronger commercial decision support.
The Manager, Pricing Operations & Transformation, is a hands-on working leader responsible for improving today’s pricing execution on aftermarket parts while helping build the future pricing operating model. The role combines deep business and pricing acumen with analytical problem-solving, pricing technology implementation, systems integration, and practical AI adoption. The manager is expected to work directly on the problems, data, systems, processes, and tools, not only coordinate or supervise their team.
The role will support an aftermarket parts pricing tool implementation and related systems integrations, while leading a team of Pricing Analysts, including support to Dealers and Fleets in North America, and other markets such as Mexico and other Latin America countries. This role will be instrumental in helping the core pricing team and adjacent teams apply AI assistants to real pricing use cases and shift toward higher-value analysis and strategy.
What you will do
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Technology, Implementation & Integration
- Act as a pricing-business lead for a pricing tool implementation, translating pricing requirements into practical workflows, rules, decision logic, and user needs.
- Work with Pricing, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and implementation partners on requirements, process design, testing, data validation, integration readiness, deployment, stabilization, and continuous improvement
- Help connect the pricing platform with adjacent business processes and systems, identifying data, workflow, ownership, and control gaps that can impair pricing decisions.
- Lead user-readiness activities for the pricing organization, including role-based training, job aids, use-case demonstrations, adoption routines, and post-launch coaching.
- Ensure technology changes simplify work and improve decision quality rather than reproducing inefficient manual processes inside a new system.
Hands-on Pricing Leadership & Advanced Support
- Operate as a working manager and senior escalation point for complex pricing questions and exceptions, providing support when issues require deeper business, analytical, process, or system knowledge.
- Guide and develop Pricing Analysts while remaining personally involved in problem solving, root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and process improvement.
- Partner closely with the Pricing Analysts on fleet pricing architecture, deal analysis, concessions, margin impact, competitive positioning, and scalable approaches for strategic accounts.
- Provide leadership and analytical support for the Export Pricing Analyst covering Latin America, helping create consistent pricing logic while recognizing market and channel differences.
- Escalate systemic pricing issues and convert recurring support problems into process, data, governance, training, or system improvements.
Business Analytics & Strategic Pricing
- Build business cases and analytical models that connect price actions to revenue, gross margin, volume, mix, customer behavior, and competitive position.
- Analyze price realization, margin leakage, concessions, elasticity, fleet performance, exceptions, and other pricing outcomes to identify actions rather than simply report results.
- Turn complex data into clear commercial recommendations for Product Management, Sales, Finance, and leadership.
- Balance commercial growth, customer value, profitability, and operational feasibility when recommending pricing actions.
- Use BI, pricing, ERP, and other analytical tools to investigate issues and support evidence-based decisions.
.
AI-Enabled Pricing
- Become a practical champion for AI-enabled pricing, with the ability to identify, demonstrate, and scale real business use cases rather than only discuss AI conceptually.
- Guide the pricing team and adjacent teams on effective use of AI assistants embedded in the future pricing platform, including where AI can accelerate analysis, surface insights, support recommendations, and reduce repetitive work.
- Define appropriate human review, decision controls, data-quality expectations, and escalation paths so AI-assisted recommendations remain commercially sound and accountable.
- Create reusable use cases, examples, prompts/workflows where applicable, and training content that help users move from experimentation to repeatable business value.
- Help redesign roles and routines as automation and AI reduce transactional workload, increasing the team’s capacity for strategic pricing, analytics, customer segmentation, and commercial decision support.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence
- Set priorities and develop people while influencing with analysis, implementation, issue resolution, and strategic pricing work.
- Build analytical, commercial, systems, and AI fluency across the pricing team through coaching and practical application.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance, IT, and other adjacent teams to align pricing decisions, processes, and technology.
- Influence senior stakeholders with concise, data-backed recommendations and clear trade-offs.
Key Metrics
- Pricing system implementation milestones, business readiness, user adoption, and stabilization of new pricing workflows.
- Pricing-support effectiveness: resolution of complex issues, reduction of recurring root causes, and improved process reliability.
- Fleet pricing effectiveness and contribution to the organization’s growth priorities.
- Price realization, gross-margin impact, concession effectiveness, and reduction of price/margin leakage.
- Quality, adoption, and measurable business value of AI-assisted pricing use cases as capabilities become available.
- Increase in team capacity devoted to strategic analysis and decision support versus repetitive/manual activity.
