What you will do

As a Professional Solution Engineer, you will support end users as well as take part in IT solution projects, to meet the needs in the PDM/PLM/CAD area of the business. You will be a part of a global team, where interactions and responsibilities to actively cooperate with various stakeholders are key, and collaboration with ease in a multi-cultural environment is expected.

 

The Professional Solution Engineer will be part of an experienced team of other Solution Engineers, Software Engineers and Digital Product Owners. You will be expected to participate by sharing your knowledge and insights into global projects and our runtime environments, while also improving the interaction and support model with our end users. You will have Digital &IT colleagues in Bengaluru, Lyon, Gothenburg, and Greensboro.

 

We have started a Virtual Product lifecycle management modernization journey to shape Volvo’s future way of working within the PDM/PLM domain. We are facing a challenging and exciting period as we are creating a future IT environment in this area.

Who are you?

  • 3+ years Experience in Product Development, Virtual Manufacturing and/or Product Lifecycle Management
  • Strong working knowledge in CAD, Virtual Product lifecycle management and experience with CREO,CATIA, and Windchill/PDMLink
  • Ability to work in and navigate in agile teams
  • Lean mindset and driven to improve the day-to-day experience for our PLM tool users
  • Mechanical Engineering background or similar experience
  • High proficiency in computer skills

For this position, the base pay is set at $72,600.00 - $89,700.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
