What you will do
As the Range Director – PPSO NA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable transport solutions, directly influencing the success of Volvo and Mack Trucks in North America. This challenging senior position offers significant influence on main product deliveries within the Volvo Group. In this highly collaborative role, you will manage the evolution of Conventional Range products over time by delivering projects and solutions to meet the Mack and Volvo brand’s business objectives. With an overall portfolio mindset, you will work continuously with a broad cross functional network to improve the effectiveness of our deliveries while driving customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will cover the cross-functional industrialization of new products to meet expected quality, cost, and features on time. Additionally, you will mentor and develop project management talents and skills within the range. Core to your success in the role is strong cooperation with the engineering functions, Strategic Product Planning, North American truck brands (Volvo and Mack), Group Trucks Operations (GTO), and Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) to collaboratively achieve Predictable Launch of Sustainable world-class Transport solutions.
Distinct responsibilities include:
- Manage the project portfolio delivering to the long-range product plan for the conventional and electro mobility segment
- Manage the budget within the Conventional range
- Coordinate projects with corresponding global ranges when inter range dependence and support is required
- Plan and manage vehicle project activity in close cooperation with propulsion component projects as appropriate
- Daily management, people development, team management, training and coaching of employees
- Strong collaboration skills building alignment across multiple functional areas
- Team leadership - act as a leader and towards all functions assuming full ownership of the projects in the portfolio.

Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Conventional Vehicle Range team oversees detailed planning and cross-functional execution of complex programs. The position holder will report to the Vice President of Conventional Range PPSO NA.
