Regional Mack Medium Duty Sales - Central/Southeast

What you will do

As the Regional Mack Medium Duty Sales, you will lead the growth and performance of Mack Medium Duty (MMD) sales across a designated region, driving market share through strong dealer partnerships and strategic customer engagement. The position owns the full end‑to‑end sales cycle, combining business development, fleet solutions, and financial offerings to close complex deals. Success requires strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to translate market insights into profitable growth for Mack and its dealers.


Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
•    Develop and implement plans and strategies for achieving MMD sales goals and market share growth in designated Mack sales region(s).
•    Create a culture of accountability and success among the sales team and Dealers within the region Assist with Regional fleet deals by deciding on pricing, specifications and customer visits that translate into closed, contracted business deals.
•    Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities. 
•    Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and monitor sales activity using Salesforce.
•    Takes ownership of the full end to end sales cycle for new business transactions, including Dealer Sales, Full-Service Lease, Rental, and Contract Maintenance services.
•    Engage other regional counterparts to capitalize on team selling approach for full market penetration. Assist with conflict resolution between Mack and Dealer involving sales and leasing issues related to the MMD product line.
•    Provide interpretations to dealers on programs and policies including dealer sales and the Mack Truck Leasing System (MTLS).
•    Maintain and improve Mack Medium Duty Trucks and the MTLS image and presence within the industry by participating in trade meetings, shows and conventions.
•    Communicate industry issues and field intelligence to corporate management and internal organization Provide insight and recommendations for future product definition and enhancements.
•    Budget responsibility in conjunction with approved business plan.

•    Fulfilment of financial and operational results.
•    Actively develop and maintain critical customer and internal relationships supporting industry market recognition for MLS through website marketing and by participating in industry trade associations Budget responsibility in conjunction with approved retail sales business plans.
•    Ensure dealers and field team make effective use of prospecting tools including Salesforce.
•    Adhere to all Volvo Group and Mack Trucks corporate and sales policies, strategies and procedures and always ensure legal compliance.

Critical Competencies:
•    Business Acumen and Relationship Building Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools a plus.
•    Understanding of the Full-Service Lease, Daily Rental and Contract Maintenance business as well as Dealership sales, service activities and contracts.
•    Ability to utilize market data to build strategies around identified areas of opportunity and growth, including the development and implementation of retail operation business plans.
•    Excellent verbal, written and presentations skills.
•    Ability to lead, coach and mentor sales and leasing professionals at assigned Dealers.
•    Thorough knowledge of all sales and leasing policies, processes, and systems at the wholesale (Mack Trucks) level as well as the retail (dealer) level.
•    Complete knowledge of broad finance instruments including terms, types and usage.
•    Ability to tailor finance alternatives based on customer needs. Complete knowledge of dealer sales and service contracts.
•    Familiarity with applicable state laws and DMV regulations affecting same Time and Territory management.
•    Thorough working knowledge of Mack Market Data, source, make-up and selection Change Facilitation.
•    Demonstrates passion for the business with a high degree of integrity, credibility, and confidentiality. 

 

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates:
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant field of study. 

 

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
•    7+ years truck sales or parts sales experience technical knowledge of truck specifications Proficiency in MS Office
•    Proficiency in English; Spanish proficiency a plus Other Requirements:
•    Frequent travel

For this position, the base pay is set at $169,900.00 - $197,500.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
