What you will do

The Salesforce Support Administrator will be responsible for the support, maintenance, security, and overall health of the Group Truck NA (GTNA) Salesforce org.  The Core Admin will be the primary contact regarding the current and future Salesforce org, including setup, configuration, security, org structure (sandboxes), deployment path, etc.  The Core Admin will execute all deployments and make the majority of the setup changes in the org as a part of the defined org release schedule. 

 

Additionally, the Core Admin will be the initial contact for user and application support, being the first to receive and triage all support requests before taking action to resolve or escalate to the application team.  This requires an in-depth understanding of the org setup and solutions enabled.  This will additionally include the creation, maintenance, and support of all Salesforce licenses users. 

 

The Salesforce Core Administrator will work closely with all members of the GTNA Salesforce team and end users of the solution enabled within the org.  These interactions will ensure alignment with architectural direction provided, maintaining the org’s data via backup and sandbox seeding, management of the deployment lifecycle, and supporting the sharing/visibility rules and process of the org. 

 

Core Responsibilities: 

 

  • Executes majority of org Setup changes.  
  • Manage the org release cycle and deploying all changes using DevOps Center. 
  • Ensure Release Readiness through regular internal org audits, completion of Release Updates and monitoring of Salesforce Release scheduled. 
  • Oversee all security elements of the org ensuring alignment with best practices. 
  • Creation and maintenance of all Salesforce users within the GTNA Salesforce org (Experience Coud users are maintained via automation). 
  • Manages that implementation and use of OwnBackup for the purpose of backup and sandbox seeding. 
  • Continuously assess the Org Health to identify and resolve areas of concern including license utilization, maintainability, scalability, quota usage, & tech debt. 
  • Install and maintain AppExchange solutions to enrich data and processes. 
  • Develop, maintain, and constantly improve a reusable repository of tools, templates, best practices and methodologies to manage the execution of solutions and initiatives being deployed on Salesforce.com platform.

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a Salesforce Administration. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members in different geographies. 
  • Excellent written (Business & Technical), verbal and listening skills. 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 

 

Required Competencies 

  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) Certified. 
  • Exposure to the breath of the Salesforce ecosystems solutions (Sales, Experience, Marketing, Data Clouds along with knowledge of Salesforce solutions DevOps Center, Shield, Security Center, etc.). 
  • Advanced understanding of Salesforce visibility and sharing, including roles, profiles, field level security, permission sets and user access policies. 
  • Understanding of AppExchange solutions, including Conga Composer, Adobe Sign, Qualtrics, etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards. 
  • Ability to research and interpret technical documentation such as release manuals and install guides. 
  • Creative and analytical thinker with problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions. 
  • Balanced understanding of long-term and short-term perspectives. 
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.  
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Experience with Agile framework. 

 

Education Required 

BS/BA degree, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
