As a member of the Structured Finance Team, the Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in conducting financial analysis and ensuring operational excellence to support the execution of VFS’s capital markets plans. You will be instrumental in facilitating long-term funding, risk mitigation, and liquidity management for VFS.
This position is in our Greensboro, NC office and reports to the Manager of Structured Finance within the Volvo Financial Services North American headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will enhance deal execution and operational activities by providing analyses, supporting securitization activities, generating reports, maintaining financial reporting, and collaborating with leadership teams. These duties will include:
• Lead routine and month-end close processes for capital market activities.
• Analyze and validate results by proactively researching and resolving discrepancies, providing recommendations for process improvements and automation.
• Support new securitization activities including preparing financial reporting packages, conducting pool selection, setting up deals in the system, and liaising with various internal and external counterparties, such as accounting, operations, legal, and banking partners.
• Act as a system expert, driving system testing and identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency.
• Actively manage projects, providing hands-on project management to ensure timely and successful completion of initiatives.
• Perform cash management and forecasting activities to support short- and long-term liquidity planning.
• Ensure the customer finance portfolio is adequately safeguarded against interest and liquidity risks by updating and continuously analyzing our match funding model.
• Provide thorough communication and results analysis to leadership.
• Additional overall support for the Capital Markets department.
Who are you?
Education and Professional Experience
• BS/BA in Finance/Business Administration is required; advanced degree (MBA, MS Finance) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial planning, modeling, business analysis, or similar.
• Experience with cash forecasting and debt planning a plus.
• Proficiency with business intelligence applications such as PowerBI, PowerQuery, Tableau, or Alteryx.
• SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
• Advanced level skills in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Competencies and Skills
• Knowledge of core systems (ABS Suite, Navision, InfoLease, Hyperion) desirable.
• Strong candidates will have demonstrated proficiency with commercial finance and financial services concepts including financial modeling; an aptitude for systems, data management and reporting; and the capacity for process management and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with peers and management at all levels of an organization.
• Strong strategic thinking and storytelling skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills and professional presence.
• Results oriented.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Experience in Capital Markets or Treasury Services a plus.
• Integrity and unquestionable ethics.
