About the role

We are looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking HR leader to serve as our Sr. Manager of People Experience & Solutions located within our HQ in Greensboro, NC. In this role, you will shape the end‑to‑end employee experience, lead service delivery teams, and drive digital HR transformation across Volvo Group North America. You will oversee core people systems, data management, and employee lifecycle processes ensuring our teams and leaders receive high‑quality, timely, and people‑centric support. This position plays a critical role in modernizing our People and Culture function and translating global People & Culture strategies into effective solutions. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader who excels at building scalable HR operations, leading change, and designing organizations capable of supporting a dynamic, evolving business.

 

What will you do

- Ownership of strategy, goals, roadmap and budget for U.S. People digital products.

- Oversee people systems and ensure intuitive digital experiences.

- Maintain people data governance, accuracy, and compliance with U.S. employment law.

- Collaborate with Payroll, Total Rewards, People & Culture Support Center, and Digital and IT.

- Own and develop end-to-end systems and solutions to effectively support the Business, People Experience, Contact Services, and HR Operations teams.

- Responsible for regular collection of feedback loops inclusive of analytics and experience measures to continuously improve employee experience.

- Oversee and manage core HR systems (SAP HR, SuccessFactors, ASK HR, Payroll etc.), ensuring intuitive and user-friendly tools while guaranteeing accurate payroll execution and compliance with all regulatory reporting obligations.

- Maintaining an overview of all products within the U.S. landscape and ensuring support of payroll integration flows.

- Ensure digital products meet legal and security requirements including collective bargaining agreements.

- Planning and forecasting resource needs tied to product roadmaps inclusive of recruiting, hiring, and training of new team members.

 

Drive Transformation & Change Initiatives

- Lead HR modernization and digital transformation projects.

- Simplify, standardize, and optimize HR processes and systems.

- Guide stakeholders through change with strong communication, change management plans and training.

- Improve processes and remove friction across the employee journey.

- Optimizing ROI of U.S. People and Culture digital solutions.

- Leading cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions.

- Managing key stakeholder interactions and user collaborations.

- Project or Portfolio management for US P&C projects

 

Collaborate Across the Business

- Serve as a key member of the People & Culture U.S. leadership team.

- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Labor Relations, People & Culture Support Center, Health and Safety, and Digital and IT.

- Align U.S. practices with global frameworks while tailoring locally.

- Partner with P&C Business Partners on system structure and capability building.

What we are looking for

Experience & Expertise

- 10+ years of progressive HR systems and leadership experience.

- BS/BA Degree in Human Resources and/or related field (master's degree preferred or equivalent experience.)

- Proven success leading People & Culture Support Center functions at scale. - Expertise in HR technology, service‑delivery, and analytics.

- Strong communication, leadership and change management leading large-scale change initiatives.

- Intellectual agility and ability to navigate between strategic and operational challenges.

- Proven ability managing and influencing multiple teams in a highly matrixed organization.

- High sense of confidentiality, ethics and professional rigor.

- Expertise in U.S. employment practices and compliance requirements.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $143,600 - $177,300  annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
