What you will do

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Full-Cycle Recruiting and Delivery

  • Manage assigned searches from intake through selection and offer coordination, establishing clear hiring requirements, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that attract qualified, diverse talent using internal and external channels.
  • Screen and assess candidates against role requirements; guide structured interviews, selection discussions, and hiring decisions.
  • Maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring teams to create an inclusive, transparent, and high-quality experience.

 

Talent Pipeline Development and Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Research, identify, engage, assess, and cultivate external talent aligned with strategic and recurring workforce needs.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for priority skill areas, emerging capabilities, and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Partner with hiring leaders, People & Culture Business Partners, Talent Intelligence, Early Careers, and other Talent Acquisition colleagues to connect near-term hiring with longer-term talent needs.
  • Support internal mobility by identifying qualified internal talent and ensuring consistent consideration of internal candidates.

 

Market Intelligence, Research, and Analytics

  • Monitor relevant labor-market, industry, competitor, skill, and location trends that may affect talent availability.
  • Translate market insights and recruiting data into practical recommendations on search strategy, talent pools, candidate expectations, and hiring approach.
  • Use recruiting metrics and funnel data to identify risks, communicate progress, and adjust strategies with the hiring team.

 

Operational Excellence, Efficiency, and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely information in applicant tracking and related talent systems.
  • Follow established sourcing, recruiting, assessment, selection, and recordkeeping standards.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and Talent Acquisition procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, and consistent ways of working across the Talent Acquisition team.

Who are you?

 Qualifications

 

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, sourcing, or a closely related field.
  • Experience supporting multiple requisitions and stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience conducting candidate outreach, screening, and interview coordination or facilitation.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and common recruiting tools.
  • Working knowledge of fair and consistent selection practices and applicable employment requirements.

 

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting in a corporate, manufacturing, engineering, technology, or similarly complex organization.
  • Experience using market research, talent mapping, sourcing analytics, or recruiting funnel data to inform hiring strategy.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing methods, candidate assessment, and selection practices.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative communication skills with candidates, hiring leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to organize multiple searches, manage competing priorities, and maintain follow-through.
  • Ability to use market information and recruiting data to identify risks and recommend practical actions.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team-based Talent Acquisition model.
  • Adaptability, learning agility, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and talent acquisition technology.

Working Conditions

  • Primary work location: Greensboro, North Carolina.
  • Work environment: Professional office environment with regular use of virtual collaboration and recruiting technologies.
  • Travel requirement: Limited travel may be required based on business, recruiting, or event needs.
  • Work schedule: Standard full-time schedule with flexibility to support candidates and business stakeholders, as needed.

Physical requirements: Ability to perform the essential duties of an office-based role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $72,600 - $89,700 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
