Technical Pricing Manager

What you will do

The Technical Pricing Manager will lead the analysis and pricing of Service Contracts and Extended Coverages within the Service Contracts department. They will collaborate with the Product Managers, Commercial Truck Organizations, Business Control and Business Intelligence to develop innovative solutions to support current and future service offerings. In support of the Manager, Pricing & Risk Management, they will play a key role to ensure services meet profitability targets and controls are in place to monitor performance of the portfolio. The Technical Pricing Manager will also be a major contributor in the development of analysis and reporting tools and processes. They will question, clarify, and drive changes when necessary for profitability improvements, business growth and market development.

 

Core Responsibilities:
•    Maintain and enhance existing price models and update pricing, discount structures and business rules in source systems and ordering tools. 
•    Support custom quotation process through pricing analysis and timely response.
•    Develop and maintain tools including statistical models and AI to analyze the cost and risk of portfolio including extended coverages and service contracts.
•    Analyze profitability of portfolio by vehicle year, product category, contract, customer, customer segment, etc.
•    Establish technical prices for service contracts and extended coverages based on historical costs and other data, and by collaborating with engineering.
•    Provide the commercial organizations with list price recommendations on existing products as well as new products and features.
•    Create, improve, and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, systems, and pricing data.
•    Work with Business Intelligence and IT teams to integrate new data sources into Power BI and to automate portfolio reporting for Service Contracts. 
•    Aid in creating a proactive working environment, identifying quality issues and cost drivers early in the contract term.  Work with engineering, aftermarket, and support teams to make necessary changes to increase profitability of portfolio.

•    Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work with large and multiple datasets.  Power BI experience preferred. Basic knowledge of Python or similar programming languages is a plus.
•    Business Aptitude: The ability to take analytical findings and apply it to the business.  Understanding business needs when developing reports and analytical tools. 
•    Detail Oriented: The capability to pay close attention to detail.  To ensure data is accurate compared to source systems and no errors when distributed.

•    Forward Thinking: The ability to think outside the box, continue to improve ways of working and keep up with new technologies. 
•    Collaborative: The ability to work well with others. Cross functional work is imperative to execute deliverables. 
•    Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional presentation skills
    
Minimum Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field. MBA or Finance degree preferred.
•    Proven experience with a minimum of 5 years in a comparable business. Team or cross-functional leadership experience preferred.
•    The ability to understand high- and low-level business and technical concepts.
•    Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications
•    Experience with various system landscapes & reporting tools (Mainframe, Azure, SAP, Power BI) is desired.
•    Proactive and self-motivated with multicultural team leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team in a complex organization.

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

For this position, the base pay is set at $111,100.00 - $137,200.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
