If you thrive in a fast pace and energetic environment and are committed to identifying and attracting the next generation of talent, consider this opportunity for a University Relations Recruiter.  We are seeking a future-minded individual to join our Talent Acquisition Team where you will contribute by developing and implementing strategies to attract top talent from key universities.  This position will develop strong relationships at key universities, which will support Volvo Group's strategic collaborations beyond recruiting.

 

Role Expectations:

  • Manage full cycle university recruiting strategy and process including sourcing, screening, interview process management, and maintaining candidate relationships. 
  • Create engaging job postings, ensuring the visibility and attractiveness of postings across various channels including university career portals and job boards, Handshake, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Partner with stakeholders to remain informed of trends and upcoming hiring needs.
  • Develop and maintain influential relationships with key contacts at colleges, universities, and partner organizations including faculty, career services, development offices, student organizations, and project teams.
  • Develop creative strategies to increase the visibility of the Volvo Group brand, positioning the organization as an employer of choice for students and recent graduates.
  • Organize and represent Volvo Group at recruiting events and student engagement activities.
  • Coordinate and support programmatic support for Volvo Group’s Intern Program.
  • Coordinate and support enrichment activities for student ambassadors and scholarship recipients.
  • Manage logistic related responsibilities for internal and external activities (i.e., materials, catering, communications, etc.)
  • Track key recruiting and campus metrics to analyze the success of the program and continue to look at new and innovative ways for improvement.
  • Participate in global and/or cross-functional projects.

Desired Skills & Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related area.
  • Previous campus recruiting experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in employment law and hiring practices to include OFCCP requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships.
  • Ability to provide accurate and actionable feedback and coaching to hiring managers and People & Culture partners.
  • Proficiency with Success Factors ATS and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, dynamic corporate environment.
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments.
  • Collaborative team player.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $53,700 - $66,400 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
