The Wholesale Analyst is integral to maintaining relationships with our dealers, providing support through funding, risk mitigation, security perfection, collections, financial analysis and other key activities. This role is also pivotal to driving continuous improvement opportunities by identifying inefficiencies, leveraging data insights and supporting automation and reporting enhancements.

 

This position is part of VFS US, and is based in Greensboro, NC. The Wholesale Analyst reports to the Manager Wholesale Operations.

What you will do

As a Wholesale Analyst, you will manage the operational responsibilities for an assigned dealer portfolio. Working closely with your Wholesale teammates, as well as other colleagues cross-functionally, you will:

 

• Ensure defined operational turnaround protocols for dealer funding, payment application, document preparation, and other tasks.

• Process all wholesale funding and payment requests, both timely and accurately, investigate and resolve billing and contract issues, respond timely to dealer inquiries.

• Track, close and report on audit performance, including discrepancies, highlighting potential problems/issues at a dealership.

• Ensure VFS security perfection with respect to such areas as UCC, PMSI, etc., inter-creditor agreements as well as other security perfection documentation. This is achieved through preparing and maintaining security perfection documents, searches, filings and preparation of inter-creditor and/or subordination agreements.

• Collect monthly charges and payments.

• Work with accounting to reconcile any GL issues related to wholesale.

• Ensure contracts are properly set up in WFS (SFPW) with a high level of accuracy and speed.

• Prepare dealer loan documentation (new & renewal), ensure all documents are complete and executed correctly and returned by the dealer.

• Send, track, and obtain annual dealership ownership certificates, KYC, and AML checks.

• Ensure dealer insurance policies coverage for both floor plan and lease line are renewed timely meeting VFS’s requirements.

• Perform dealer affiliated lease line audits through analysis of leasing businesses and associated documentation.

• Spread financial statements and provide comments and analysis as needed.

• Provide New Employee Training & Internal Employee cross training.

• Utilize SFPW (WFS) to perform operations, audit, reporting and testing tasks.

• Comply with any local regulatory requirements as well as Volvo Group and VFS internal requirements.

• Help develop, maintain, and utilize operational dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI or similar tools) to monitor funding turnaround times, audit performance, exception trends, and portfolio risk indicators.

• Analyze datasets to identify process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (Credit, Risk, IT, Operations, Accounting, Legal) to drive process optimization, standardization, and automation initiatives.

• Document workflows, metrics, and control points to support continuous improvement (VPS), audit readiness, and scalability of US operations.

Who are you?

You are a problem-solver with 3 or more years of experience in wholesale, floor plan or financial services-related activities and a thorough understanding of wholesale documentation requirements and security perfection. Your organization and prioritization skills are exemplary and you understand those are keys to success in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You exhibit strong communication skills – both oral and written – and are fluent in English. In your previous work experience, you have demonstrated an ability to leverage technical tools to review, analyze and report on data and business trends and you are comfortable presenting these trends to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. These tools include the Microsoft Office Suite and PowerBI (or similar business intelligence and data visualization tool), and your level of expertise in Excel includes pivot tables and data modeling. You also bring a process improvement mindset to your work that will be complimented by our internal Volvo Performance System (VPS).

 

Other experience and education that would set a foundation for success in this role include:

• BA/BS in business or related field

• Foundational understanding of financial analysis including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, projection analysis and financial statement spreading

• Knowledge of WFS (SPFW)

• Collections and inventory audit experience

For this position, the base pay is set at $63,100.00 - $77,900.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
